Software Engineer Backend (100% remote)

Join our Servicing International team as a Backend Software Engineer to build foundational platforms for global expansion, focusing on purchase protection, disputes, and refunds.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals while leading engineers through complex, open-ended technical problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to articulate technical constraints and trade-offs.
• Foster a culture of quality by setting high standards for code reviews and design documentation.
• Support the operations and availability of team artifacts through monitoring, metrics, and on-call efforts.
• Contribute to full-stack development, including front-end components, to deliver end-to-end features.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Proven track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration within a global team.
• Ability to define technical plans for significant features with elegant, simple, and extensible designs.
