Software Backend Engineer (Java&Kotlin)

We are currently looking for a skilled Software Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of one of Europe's largest e-commerce platforms, focusing on creating specialized, vertical-specific user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Build and evolve microservices-based solutions, ensuring high reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Design the architecture of new modules and contribute to key technical decisions within the project.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and UX Designers to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Utilize AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to enhance daily software development workflows.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in both Kotlin and Java with hands-on experience in Spring Boot.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Ability to proactively identify opportunities to optimize and improve existing systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and a commitment to high code quality.
• English proficiency at B2+ level or higher.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
