Software Architect

AgileEngine is an Inc. 5000 company that creates award-winning software for Fortune 500 brands and trailblazing startups across 17+ industries. We are currently seeking a Software Architect to own the technical direction across our product portfolio, designing scalable architectures and guiding feature implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable, maintainable software architectures that meet both current and evolving product requirements.
• Assess and shepherd the technical delivery of products to ensure adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
• Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders to contribute to the product roadmap and requirements.
• Drive continual improvement of development processes, tooling, and engineering workflows.
• Provide hands-on development support for escalated customer issues to maintain deep familiarity with the codebase.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in an architectural or technical leadership role.
• Strong technical background with proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, system design, and API-driven development.
• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
