Snowflake Data Engineer

Apreel is looking for a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and deployment of robust big data pipelines in a cloud environment. You will play a key role in designing and optimizing data models while collaborating with senior leadership to achieve strategic business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy big data pipelines within a Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment.
• Design, develop, and migrate existing on-premise ETL routines to cloud-based services.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business goals and deliver high-impact workstreams.
• Design and optimize model code to ensure faster execution and improved performance.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in data warehousing and ETL development, specifically with Snowflake.
• Proficiency in Snowflake data modeling, including roles, schemas, databases, and security policies.
• Experience with Snowflake advanced concepts such as Tasks, Streams, Stages, and performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of data integration tools like DBT, Matillion, or Informatica.
• Deep understanding of AWS services including S3, Lambda, EMR, and Glue.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data wrangling and analysis.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization, and distributed computing patterns.
