Snowflake Data Engineer (Energy sector project)

Link Group is seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will design and deliver modern, scalable data solutions for complex business challenges within the energy sector, working across the full data lifecycle in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Snowflake data pipelines within cloud environments.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes, including the migration of on-premise workflows to the cloud.
• Implement Snowflake data models, including schemas, databases, roles, and security policies.
• Build and maintain Snowflake objects such as Tasks, Streams, and Stages.
• Optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows to ensure high performance and scalability.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Cloud Data Platform development.
• Proven hands-on experience developing enterprise-scale solutions using Snowflake.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Solid understanding of data formats like Parquet, ORC, and Avro, as well as ETL/ELT integration processes.
• Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies and collaborating with business stakeholders.
