Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Computer Science

Fibertide is seeking skilled Site Reliability Engineers with a strong foundation in computer science to join our team. We specialize in designing, building, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for high-growth startups and scaleups across the U.S. and Europe, focusing on complex distributed systems and high-performance software.

Key responsibilities

• Implementing cloud-based infrastructure for large-scale systems and developing specialized data-processing software.
• Advising customers on cloud-native solutions and creating in-house utilities for efficient cloud system management.
• Providing technical and business guidance within projects while managing client relationships alongside Cloud Architects.
• Solving unconventional and complex technical challenges that require deep analytical thinking.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems for web applications or data pipelines.
• Deep expertise in AWS or GCP, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and configuration management tools.
• Strong proficiency in mathematics, theoretical computer science, advanced algorithms, and software optimization.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and operating system fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead small teams to meet business expectations.
