ServiceNow Discovery Engineer

We are currently seeking a ServiceNow Discovery Engineer to serve as the platform and infrastructure authority for a large-scale Discovery environment, ensuring system health and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously assess the health of the ServiceNow Discovery ecosystem, including MID Servers, discovery schedules, throughput, latency, and discovery coverage.
• Convert operational knowledge and runbooks into structured, documented workflows to reduce manual investigation.
• Collect, aggregate, and interpret metrics and telemetry from ServiceNow Discovery and monitoring platforms to drive engineering improvements.
• Investigate complex infrastructure attributes and relationships to ensure high data quality and successful discovery execution.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, including MID Servers, Patterns, Probes, and ECC Queue.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM, including identification, reconciliation, and data quality management.
• Practical knowledge of infrastructure engineering, including Linux, Windows Server, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, WMI/WinRM, SNMP, and common troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with observability technologies like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana, along with upper-intermediate English proficiency.
