Senior Technical Program Manager

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Inference Cloud team, focusing on building advanced AI platforms and infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in orchestrating complex technical programs, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative AI solutions from concept to market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program planning and execution for major AI platform initiatives, including defining technical roadmaps, milestones, and risk management.
• Drive cross-functional alignment on priorities and resources to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle and product development processes for AI-driven solutions.
• Establish program metrics, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects while mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in technical program management, cloud infrastructure engineering, or AI/ML systems.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, manage risks, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels without formal authority.
• Significant experience with Agile methodologies and change management processes.
• Demonstrated success in managing high-visibility, large-scale technical programs.
