Senior Technical Architect

Micro1 is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to leverage their platform engineering expertise in training next-generation AI systems. In this fully remote role, you will design complex reinforcement learning environments that challenge AI models to manage, secure, and scale production-grade cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design realistic cloud infrastructure scenarios covering distributed systems, networking, security, and reliability.
• Construct reproducible, containerized environments featuring both golden reference solutions and intentionally defective variants.
• Define precise requirements for infrastructure configuration, topology, and runtime behavior.
• Develop deterministic tests for integration, load, security, failure-injection, and disaster recovery.
• Debug complex environments and provide technical reviews for tasks created by other experts.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in technical architecture, platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE with ownership of production platforms.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalable APIs, queues, autoscaling, and durable storage.
• Practical expertise in IAM, private networking, least-privilege access, and service-to-service security.
• Proficiency in observability, SLOs, rolling deployments, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ability to write infrastructure automation tools and debug containerized environments using modern programming languages.
