Senior Staff AI Engineer

Caspian One is seeking a Senior Staff AI Engineer to join a leading global financial data provider during a major AI transformation initiative. You will play a pivotal role in building a brand-new internal AI organization, focusing on evolving traditional search capabilities into advanced semantic intelligence across massive, complex financial datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Architect foundational AI and ML infrastructure from the ground up to support large-scale financial data processing.
• Design and implement vector databases, retrieval pipelines, embeddings frameworks, and LLM orchestration layers.
• Develop RAG frameworks, entity linking, knowledge graphs, and domain-specific AI agents for financial analysts.
• Influence product strategy and technical direction within an elite R&D group.
• Contribute directly to the design and prototyping of a new AI product scheduled for launch in 2026.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing and deploying large-scale AI systems and ML architectures.
• Deep expertise in working with complex, high-volume datasets, ideally within the financial sector.
• Proven ability to build and scale AI infrastructure, including vector databases and retrieval systems.
• Strong background in LLM orchestration, knowledge graphs, and semantic search technologies.
• Ability to operate effectively in a startup-like environment while driving innovation at a global scale.
