Senior SRE / DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes / A2P Messaging)

DNA Technology is seeking a Senior SRE / DevOps Engineer to build and operate the infrastructure for a high-volume messaging platform. This role involves managing complex, stateful systems that process millions of messages daily, requiring a deep focus on reliability, networking, and Kubernetes orchestration.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate Kubernetes infrastructure across two sites using infrastructure-as-code and automated delivery.
• Design deployment mechanisms that allow long-lived TCP connections to drain gracefully during releases.
• Take ownership of platform networking, including Layer 4 load balancing, TLS, and stable ingress/egress connectivity.
• Build and operate the observability stack, ensuring metrics and alerting provide actionable signals.
• Participate in production incident response and a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Strong production experience operating Kubernetes on self-managed or infrastructure-heavy environments.
• Experience with stateful, long-lived TCP workloads and telecom protocols such as SMPP, SIP, or SS7.
• Deep knowledge of Linux and networking fundamentals, including routing, NAT, firewalls, and packet-level diagnostics.
• Proven ability to design monitoring and alerting systems that effectively manage production reliability.
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines for containerized systems.
