Senior Specialist, T2 / Target2 Payment Operations

Finom is a fast-growing European fintech startup dedicated to revolutionizing financial management for entrepreneurs through an all-in-one B2B platform. We are currently seeking a Senior Specialist to lead our operational transition to direct participation in the TARGET2 (T2) payment system.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document, and execute end-to-end payment operations processes for T2, including SCT and SCT Inst recalls, investigations, and SWIFT enquiries.
• Manage the daily operation of the T2 platform via U2A/A2A interfaces and maintain CRDM reference data.
• Lead the migration of payment traffic to direct participation, ensuring full traceability and seamless transition from partner banks.
• Develop and maintain incident management procedures, including coordination with DNB, FIS, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define platform requirements and ensure operational stability.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with T2/TARGET Services, including RTGS and TIPS.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in payment operations within a bank, EMI, or PSP, with strong knowledge of SEPA schemes.
• Proficiency in ISO 20022 messaging, investigations, and managing payment returns or recalls.
• Strong ability to create standard operating procedures and implement effective internal controls.
• Fluent English and the ability to make independent decisions while working with technical and regulatory stakeholders.
