Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead

RTB House is a global leader in marketing technologies, utilizing proprietary Deep Learning algorithms to power its ad-buying engine. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead to join our Bidding Platform team, which processes over 20 million requests per second to facilitate real-time auctions across the globe.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead the implementation of system changes that ensure high performance, scalability, and observability for global ad tracking and display.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain HTTP/gRPC services and batch jobs in Java and Python while adhering to rigorous engineering standards.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership by solving complex system challenges and participating in project planning and scoping.
• Ensure the highest coding standards through active participation in code reviews and mentorship.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of complex IT systems, spanning from hardware and software to advanced algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental internet protocols and technologies, including DNS, HTTP, and cookies.
• Proficiency in creating concurrent programs and distributed systems, ranging from thread-level to geo-distributed clusters.
• Proven ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize production systems for performance and reliability.
• Strong analytical skills regarding high scalability and high availability challenges.
