Senior Software Engineer (Rust or Python)

DevsData LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer proficient in Python or Rust to join a US-based trading technology company. You will contribute to the development of automated trading bots and an internal algorithmic trading system for stocks, options, and futures, ensuring high reliability and performance in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the internal algorithmic trading system that executes strategies on stocks, options, and futures via Interactive Brokers.
• Ensure the trading system runs reliably unattended, with strong error handling, monitoring, and recovery.
• Convert raw trading and market data into clear, visual signals that customers can act on.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the systems you build, from architecture and deployment to incident response.
• Collaborate with a small non-engineering team to automate sales and community workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior-level professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience working with trading or market data such as stocks, options, futures, or crypto.
• Strong experience with real-time data processing and building production systems in Python or Rust.
• Track record of building reliable, unattended systems with robust error handling and failure recovery.
• Ability to make architectural and technology decisions independently with excellent English communication skills.
