Senior Software Engineer (Python + AWS)

Experis Manpower Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team building a cloud-native platform designed to standardize clinical trial data at scale. You will work on a sophisticated system that utilizes Python and AWS to manage complex data pipelines, while also contributing to a React-based frontend used by analysts to author mapping specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and extend the SDTM transformation engine using AWS Step Functions, Lambda workers, and Databricks.
• Build and evolve the GraphQL/AppSync API and React frontend to support analyst workflows.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code changes across service Terraform stacks and shared infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and on-call rotations.
• Mentor engineers who are newer to the technology stack or the clinical data domain.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python proficiency, including experience with Lambda Powertools, pytest, and writing clean, testable code in a monorepo.
• Deep understanding of AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, and IAM.
• Ability to reason about system cost, latency, and failure modes in distributed environments.
