Senior Software Engineer

Relativity is a leading legal data intelligence company that builds technology to help users organize data and discover the truth. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Search Infrastructure Team, you will play a key role in designing, operating, and scaling the search platform that powers mission-critical customer workflows within our cloud-native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable search platform capabilities in a cloud environment.
• Run and improve production systems that support high-volume, mission-critical customer workflows.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, resolve defects, and support customer-impacting incidents.
• Improve observability, automation, capacity planning, and operational readiness for search infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering, SRE, product, and architecture partners to evolve the search platform roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing commercial-grade software systems or infrastructure platforms.
• Experience building, operating, or scaling distributed systems in production.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex system behavior using operational data.
• Hands-on programming experience in a modern backend language and fluency in English.
