Senior Software Engineer

Cloudbeds is transforming the hospitality industry by providing an intelligent, unified platform that powers properties across 150 countries. As a Senior Software Engineer on our Payments team, you will help build the secure and scalable financial backbone that processes billions in transactions for thousands of global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of system quality, reliability, and performance while collaborating with peers to build robust solutions.
• Design and maintain clean, well-tested code with a focus on scalability and long-term architectural flexibility.
• Integrate with complex partner APIs and develop resilient interfaces for global payment systems.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards, including PCI-DSS and data privacy principles.
• Contribute to problem-solving and quick resolutions while maintaining clear communication within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PHP web application software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience working with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including tuning and optimization.
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing event-driven microservices in PHP or Java.
• Proficiency with modern infrastructure tooling such as Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
