Senior Software Engineer

Taxually is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team and help automate tax compliance across 117 countries. In this architecture-focused role, you will design robust systems that allow tax experts to manage complex domain logic, working primarily with .NET/C# and Angular on Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Deeply understand the tax domain, including returns, templates, and periods, to build systems that accurately reflect business requirements.
• Design clean, maintainable architectures where code boundaries align perfectly with domain responsibilities.
• Own major engineering initiatives from initial design through to production deployment.
• Create clear design documentation that can be reviewed and challenged by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate development while maintaining high standards of architectural integrity.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex designs clearly to both engineers and domain experts.
• A deep analytical approach to problem-solving, ensuring you understand the 'why' behind business rules before implementation.
• Proven experience in designing and shipping changes to production systems that are relied upon by others.
• Ability to create simple, effective solutions that avoid unnecessary complexity or over-engineering.
