Senior Software Engineer

Micro1 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development and training of next-generation AI systems. In this fully remote role, you will leverage your deep software engineering expertise to create complex reinforcement learning environments that test AI models on real-world coding tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement reinforcement learning environments to evaluate AI model performance.
• Develop deterministic verification methods and golden reference solutions for software engineering problems.
• Utilize Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools to enable AI agents to reason over complex codebases.
• Perform tasks such as bug fixing, feature implementation, code refactoring, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C++, Python, Java, GoLang, TypeScript, or Rust.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software performance tuning.
• Proven experience in debugging complex software issues and delivering maintainable, scalable code.
• Strong background in feature development and large-scale codebase refactoring.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of success in remote, collaborative environments.
