Senior Software Engineer

BlueMatrix is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our global team in building and maintaining sophisticated client-facing components. You will work within a dynamic environment featuring a mix of a monolith and microservices, utilizing a stack that includes ReactJS, Java, PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers while fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while guiding architecture and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define solutions, shape epics, and manage sprint planning and delivery.
• Champion engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and continuous improvement of workflows.
• Identify and manage technical dependencies and risks to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 1-2+ years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
• Proficiency in Java and experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, SQS, and Kinesis.
• Strong understanding of modern development practices, REST APIs, and database performance tuning.
• Experience with microservices, scrum/agile methodologies, and rapid, continuous release cycles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
