Senior Software Engineer

Yard Corporate is partnering with a trailblazing startup that is reshaping the Quick Service Restaurant industry through a highly reliable, scalable Voice AI platform. We are seeking an elite Senior Software Engineer to join the Infrastructure team and help build and optimize a complex, cloud-native distributed system that handles massive scale and real-time data processing.

Key responsibilities

• Take charge of critical components within the real-time, distributed backend ecosystem using Python and Rust.
• Drive large-scale, technically complex initiatives from initial concept to production.
• Actively hunt down stability bottlenecks, solve complex production issues, and lead initiatives to reduce incident rates.
• Oversee the technical architecture of the SOC 2 compliance process and provide guidance to the team.
• Continuously push the boundaries of development velocity without compromising strict reliability standards.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience with a heavy focus on advanced Python development.
• Deep, practical knowledge of Python Asyncio and Python Profiling.
• Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to navigate ambiguous projects independently.
• Hands-on expertise managing cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
• Solid understanding of low-level concepts including networking protocols and operating systems.
• Battle-tested experience delivering, scaling, and troubleshooting production-grade, distributed cloud systems.
