Senior Software Engineer (Platform/Java) Poland

Sprout Social is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend engineering team. You will work at a massive scale, processing billions of requests and social messages while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build reliable, high-impact software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build, scale, and monitor our platform using technologies such as Java, Python, MySQL, HBase, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Partner with product managers and designers to define requirements and deliver high-quality features.
• Improve internal processes, systems, and tools to enhance product delivery and technical standards.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical design feedback.
• Maintain and scale distributed systems that handle millions of requests daily.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
• Minimum 3 years of programming experience in object-oriented languages like Java, Python, or C++.
• Professional proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience developing scalable, distributed backend services.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
