Senior Software Engineer (PHP)

NFQ Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Checkout team, supporting HomeToGo in building the world's largest marketplace for vacation rentals. You will play a critical role in enhancing the checkout process and post-booking experience, ensuring seamless user interactions across a global platform.

Key responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from refinement to production, including making key engineering decisions.
• Design and build scalable applications while partnering with architects to ensure system reliability and usability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, plan milestones, and iterate on features based on performance data.
• Contribute to the development of technical and architectural standards across the organization.
• Mentor team members and participate in the hiring process to help grow the engineering team.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with deep expertise in PHP and Symfony.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable, distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases and experience designing APIs for third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based tools, both as a user and as an engineer building AI-driven solutions.
• Professional proficiency in English and a strong team-player mindset.
