Senior Software Engineer (Golang, Kubernetes)

Mirantis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote team and contribute to the future of the k0sproject. As a CNCF Sandbox project, k0s is an all-inclusive Kubernetes distribution designed for simplicity and flexibility. You will collaborate with fellow maintainers and the broader open-source ecosystem to shape our Kubernetes and container products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain upstream k0s related projects under the CNCF umbrella.
• Design and implement new features within the cloud-native technology landscape.
• Integrate emerging technologies to complement Mirantis Kubernetes products.
• Monitor developments in the container ecosystem to influence the product roadmap.
• Act as a subject matter expert and evangelist for cloud-native technologies.

Requirements

• Strong, deep experience with Kubernetes and its underlying architecture.
• Proficiency in Linux, virtualization, networking, and container technologies.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code using Golang.
• Strong engineering background with a proven track record of open-source contributions.
• Pragmatic, result-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills in English.
