Senior Software Engineer (Electron / Desktop)

Yard Corporate is partnering with an ambitious AI company to build a new generation of AI-native applications designed to understand context and anticipate user needs. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of the desktop experience and help bring this vision to life through high-performance, cross-platform solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Building and improving cross-platform desktop applications using Electron and TypeScript.
• Creating responsive interfaces for real-time messaging and collaboration.
• Integrating AI-powered features, including chat, agents, and intelligent assistance.
• Implementing native desktop functionality such as notifications, file system access, and deep linking.
• Optimizing application performance, startup speed, and memory usage.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping production Electron applications.
• Experience with React or a similar modern UI framework.
• Solid understanding of Electron architecture, application lifecycle, and IPC communication.
• Experience with local storage solutions such as SQLite, IndexedDB, or filesystem-based storage.
