Senior Software Engineer, Biling Platform

HostPapa is a rapidly growing global web hosting company that empowers businesses with essential cloud-based tools and services. We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our CloudBlue team, which powers cloud commerce for major service providers worldwide, to help design and evolve our complex billing platform.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and operate backend services that drive complex billing logic and transaction processing.
• Develop Python-based APIs and services while leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance delivery and code quality.
• Own features end-to-end, from technical scoping and design to implementation, testing, and production support.
• Drive AI adoption by integrating intelligent solutions into backend workflows to improve automation and developer productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years of hands-on Python development.
• Proven experience designing and developing billing systems, including pricing logic and invoicing flows.
• Strong proficiency in designing and integrating APIs and working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and a strong interest in applying AI to solve real-world problems.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international environment.
