Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals while leading engineers through complex, open-ended technical challenges.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams to define technical constraints and project roadmaps.
• Proactively identify and resolve project, process, or technical issues to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Maintain system availability by monitoring metrics and supporting on-call efforts for team artifacts.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence by setting high standards for code reviews and design documentation.

Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional experience as a software engineer in backend development.
• Proven expertise in designing and launching scalable systems using technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in shipping frontend applications and working within large, complex codebases.
• Strong ability to define technical plans for significant features with an emphasis on elegant and extensible design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration within a global team.
