Senior Software Engineer (A2P Messaging/ Agentic Engineering)

DNA Technology is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a compact team building a high-volume, greenfield A2P messaging platform from scratch. You will design, implement, and deploy production-grade software while leveraging AI coding agents as a core component of your daily development workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Own meaningful functionality end-to-end, from initial design and implementation to production readiness and operation.
• Utilize AI coding agents throughout the full software development lifecycle for exploration, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
• Work across APIs, application services, PostgreSQL, and asynchronous event-driven processing systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to build a modular, scalable architecture that supports parallel development.
• Support the platform through migration and production operations, ensuring high reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial backend engineering experience, preferably with Java or Kotlin.
• Proven experience in telecom, messaging, CPaaS, or carrier platforms, including knowledge of SMPP, routing, and CDRs.
• Demonstrated ability to orchestrate and supervise AI agents to deliver high-quality code.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to turn evolving requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Professional proficiency in English and a track record of taking full ownership of complex technical projects.
