Senior Software Engineer- Application

ST Engineering iDirect is a global leader in satellite communications, dedicated to reshaping the future of connectivity through groundbreaking technology. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering department and contribute to the design, development, and testing of complex satellite communication systems within an Agile Scrum framework.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and RFCs to create efficient software designs for satellite systems.
• Develop, test, and integrate software functionality across various components in a collaborative, multi-functional team environment.
• Participate in defining the future direction of software architecture, infrastructure performance, and system reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues encountered during the deployment of software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members to ensure high-quality code standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ with hands-on experience developing multi-threaded and multi-process applications on Linux.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design, memory management, and real-time embedded systems in multi-core environments.
• Solid knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and socket programming.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to drive technical solutions proactively.
