Senior Software Engineer - Data Engineer

Jobgether is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, and data-driven product development. In this fully remote role, you will take end-to-end ownership of ETL/ELT pipelines, transforming complex raw data into reliable, well-structured, and accessible datasets while collaborating with an international team of talented professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from diverse sources.
• Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and transformation logic to support analytics and business intelligence requirements.
• Establish and maintain data validation processes and quality checks to ensure datasets remain accurate and trustworthy.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability practices to improve visibility into production data systems.
• Partner with analytics, product, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into durable technical solutions.

Requirements

• At least four years of professional experience in data engineering with a track record of delivering production-ready solutions.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud data platform like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles, schema design, and pipeline orchestration.
