Senior Software Developer, Backend (Europe)

We are seeking an ambitious Senior Software Developer to join our fully remote engineering team and help us build scalable, high-impact systems that power our global 3D and computer vision experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the design, architecture, and delivery of complex backend systems that support high-traffic applications.
• Lead the development of mission-critical APIs, data pipelines, and services while ensuring system scalability and performance.
• Partner with leadership to define technical direction and plan for long-term infrastructure investments.
• Mentor senior engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and champion engineering excellence across the organization.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and help shape the technical vision and culture of our engineering team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience building and operating scalable, reliable systems in production.
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to design for performance, observability, and fault tolerance in high-throughput environments.
• Strong architectural instincts and the ability to make high-leverage technical decisions.
• Experience with Python, Django, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and AWS is strongly preferred.
