Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Computer Science

Fibertide is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with a strong background in computer science to join our team. We specialize in designing, building, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for high-growth startups and scaleups across the U.S. and Europe, and we are looking for experts who combine deep technical knowledge with a passion for solving complex distributed systems challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure for complex, large-scale systems and developing specialized data-processing software.
• Advising customers and their development teams on cloud-native solutions and creating in-house utilities for managing cloud systems.
• Providing technical and business guidance within projects while managing client relationships.
• Solving unconventional technical challenges that require advanced problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems for web applications or data pipelines.
• Deep expertise in AWS or GCP and their best practices, alongside proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Strong programming skills and a solid foundation in mathematics, theoretical computer science, and advanced algorithms.
• Deep experience with software optimization, networking concepts, and operating systems fundamentals.
• Ability to lead a small team and organize work to meet client business expectations.
