Senior Site Reliability Engineer II

SmartRecruiters is a global leader in AI-powered hiring platforms, now part of the SAP ecosystem. We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Internal Engineering Team and help us strengthen the reliability, observability, and scalability of our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Platform and Engineering teams on strategic reliability and observability initiatives.
• Improve and automate observability tooling, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting systems.
• Respond to production incidents, lead remediation efforts, and drive follow-up improvements.
• Partner with product engineers to design, instrument, and operate services, owning SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Create reusable building blocks such as dashboards, alerts, and IaC modules for company-wide use.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in SRE roles, typically 7+ years.
• Strong knowledge of SRE and observability standards, including incident management and on-call practices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC tools for managing distributed applications.
• Deep understanding of the Linux operating system and proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Golang, or Python.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor and influence engineering teams.
