Senior Security Engineer

Nortal is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team supporting TUI, a global leader in the travel and tourism industry. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions to protect TUI's extensive digital infrastructure and global assets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop deep expertise in Akamai technologies, including Web Application Firewall, Content Delivery Network, and DDoS protection solutions.
• Design and deploy advanced security configurations to safeguard web applications, APIs, and critical online services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business and IT teams to ensure security objectives are met and industry best practices are implemented.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats.
• Monitor security reports and alerts, investigate incidents, and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience working as a Security Engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of Akamai technologies or similar platforms like Cloudflare or Lumen, specifically regarding web security and CDN services.
• Strong expertise in configuring and managing WAF, Bot Manager, and CDN settings.
• Solid understanding of network security concepts, encryption protocols, and application-layer attack mitigation techniques.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash for automation and data analysis tasks.
