Senior Security Engineer

Nansen is building the premier platform for onchain investing, including agentic trading, staking infrastructure, and AI-powered analytics. We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team and ensure that security is built into our systems from the ground up as we scale rapidly.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments across cloud infrastructure, applications, and CI/CD pipelines to identify vulnerabilities.
• Advise engineering teams on secure design decisions and act as a partner in the development process.
• Deploy and maintain essential security infrastructure, including SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and endpoint protection.
• Manage secrets, key management, and access controls to ensure robust system integrity.
• Address security challenges specific to AI and LLM systems, such as prompt injection prevention and API key management.
• Drive compliance readiness for standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 in a pragmatic manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and hardening production security at scale.
• Strong expertise in cloud security, container security, and network security fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining security tooling.
• Deep understanding of the security implications of AI, LLM, and agent-based systems.
• Excellent asynchronous communication skills, with a preference for EMEA hours for team overlap.
• Ability to balance security requirements with engineering velocity.
