Senior Rust Engineer

BRAVER IT is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to join a focused, high-impact team dedicated to advancing VPN technology. You will play a key role in building custom tooling, integrating emerging protocols, and developing the core infrastructure that drives business growth and product differentiation.

Key responsibilities

• Build custom VPN tooling and services that power our global server infrastructure.
• Integrate new and emerging VPN protocols into our platform to enhance product capabilities.
• Develop internal tools and technology stacks that enable new features and subscriber growth.
• Write production-quality code in Rust and manage server provisioning pipelines.
• Harden and secure server infrastructure while tuning Linux systems for performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Rust with a track record of writing production code daily.
• Strong Linux knowledge, including experience with the kernel, networking stack, and systemd.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and routing.
• Ability to work independently in a small team with minimal process and a focus on solving real-world problems.
• A security-conscious mindset applied to all aspects of software development and infrastructure.
