Senior Ruby Developer

DataArt is looking for a Senior Ruby Developer to join a project for a well-established online travel company. You will work on a portal designed to support operational tasks and booking management, directly influencing how travel agents process reservations and handle customer data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features in a Ruby on Rails 8.1 application.
• Take ownership of key platform areas from initial design through to production deployment.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and maintainability through refactoring and optimization.
• Promote solid engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, and clear documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience working with Ruby.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments.
• Practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience writing automated tests using RSpec or Minitest.
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
