Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Emergent Software is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team of top-tier professionals. In this fully remote role, you will own the quality strategy for complex, data-driven web applications, working closely with developers and clients to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and execute test coverage based on project risk and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with developers throughout the sprint to identify and resolve defects early.
• Coordinate regression testing and client-facing User Acceptance Testing.
• Estimate QA effort and manage testing budgets across multiple client projects.
• Improve QA processes and explore AI-assisted testing tools to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer on agile development teams.
• Strong judgment on when to utilize automation versus hands-on manual testing.
• Ability to support multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of web applications, APIs, databases, and cloud environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management.
