Senior QA Engineer (Mobile & IoT)

intent is a specialized software house with over a decade of experience in designing and building applications for IoT and connected devices. We are currently looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team for freelance cooperation on mobile and IoT projects, working with high-profile clients in the wearables and connected hardware space.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct compatibility testing to ensure seamless interoperability between IoT devices, sensors, gateways, and platforms.
• Verify functional correctness of IoT applications, including data collection, processing, and system integration.
• Evaluate system performance under various network conditions and environmental factors to identify bottlenecks.
• Perform security assessments to mitigate vulnerabilities in communication protocols and data transmission.
• Mentor less experienced team members and participate in requirement discussions to ensure project quality.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience as a mobile tester.
• Proven experience with IoT testing, including firmware, OTA, and hardware-software interaction.
• Familiarity with IoT protocols such as Bluetooth, BLE, NFC, Wi-Fi, and Thread.
• Experience building testing approaches and test cases from scratch.
• Practical understanding of hardware workflows like pairing, resets, and failure scenarios.
• At least B2 level in English, both written and spoken.
