Senior QA Engineer (IoT)

Join a team building a new data platform for the maritime industry.

The system is based on microservices and event-driven communication. It works both in the cloud (Azure) and on-premises, even without internet. Real-time data processing, offline identity, and IoT sensor integrations are key features.

Responsibilities

• Test systems built with microservices and event-driven queues
• Create clear test plans and documents that work for large, spread-out systems
• Check if the system works both online and offline, and during real-time data use
• Validate IoT data from many sensors
• Use tools like Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and web testing frameworks
• Build and update custom test tools, ideally with C# or similar languages

Requirements

• At least 4-5 years of experience as QA
• Skilled in C# or similar languages
• Strong experience in testing distributed systems and integrations
• Know event-driven systems (Kafka or ActiveMQ or MQTT)
• Able to work with SQL and NoSQL databases (like SQL Server, MongoDB)
• Experience using web test tools (like Selenium or Playwright)
• Know how to build or improve testing frameworks
• Experience with handling and checking IoT data, even with delays
• Fluent English - at least B2 level
