Senior Python Engineer/Tech Lead

Kyotu Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer and Tech Lead to join a project for a US-based healthcare technology company. You will play a key role in the ongoing development and modernization of a mature, multi-tenant SaaS platform, working closely with international product and engineering stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve a complex SaaS platform using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Contribute to technical decisions, provide architectural guidance, and support release planning.
• Collaborate directly with US-based stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality features.
• Optimize database queries, application performance, and background processing.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, and Docker.
• Experience working with complex legacy codebases and modernizing production-grade systems.
• Excellent English communication skills (C1+) and availability for afternoon meetings with the US team.
• Willingness to support frontend tasks using Angular when necessary.
