Senior Python Engineer with GCP

YOUR ITEAMS sp. z o.o. is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining data orchestration and backend solutions, leveraging your expertise in Python, Apache Airflow, and Google Cloud Platform to deliver scalable and reliable data products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Apache Airflow DAGs for complex data orchestration and automation.
• Develop robust backend services and REST APIs using Python, ensuring high standards of code quality.
• Manage and optimize GCP Cloud Composer environments and related configurations.
• Utilize Pydantic for schema definition, data validation, and ensuring type safety across services.
• Collaborate with data engineering and product teams to troubleshoot production incidents and implement durable fixes.

Requirements

• Minimum 6–7 years of commercial software engineering experience with a strong focus on Python backend development.
• Substantial experience with Apache Airflow, including DAG design, operators, and hooks.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, and Cloud Functions.
• Solid knowledge of REST API design, authentication standards, and SQL for data validation.
• Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker-based development workflows.
