Senior Python Developer with AI

Montrose Software is partnering with a premier academic medical center in New York City to modernize their system architecture and implement advanced data tools. We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with a strong background in AI to join our growing team as we transition from the planning phase into full-scale development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions.
• Build prototypes and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to test innovative approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and deliver high-quality results.
• Ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability across all projects.
• Take full ownership of technical tasks from initial concept to final delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in Python.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and LLM API integrations.
• Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and experimental mindset.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
