Senior Python Developer

emagine Polska is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a dynamic team at a Rotterdam-based energy startup. You will play a key role in developing a greenfield MVP, specifically an area calculation tool designed to model energy usage, grid congestion, and storage necessities for local energy communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines using Python.
• Process and analyze complex time series data, including 15-minute interval datasets.
• Build functional web applications using frameworks such as Streamlit or Dash.
• Collaborate with a technical product owner to translate energy sector requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage projects independently from initial architecture design through to the final go-live phase.
• Implement optimization or simulation models and handle geospatial data visualization.

Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in Python programming.
• Proven expertise in working with pandas and conducting time series analysis.
• Practical experience with web application frameworks like Streamlit or Dash.
• Strong background in cloud computing and ability to work autonomously in a startup environment.
• Familiarity with optimization tools, simulation models, and geospatial data management.
• Knowledge of GDPR compliance and consent handling regarding personal data.
