Senior Python Developer at AITHENA

On The Spot Development is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join the R&D team at AITHENA, a startup building an AI-powered assistant for the pharmaceutical industry. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining robust backend services designed to streamline complex regulatory document analysis and review processes.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable Python code while ensuring high standards through rigorous unit testing.
• Implement new features in an Agile environment, adhering to established architectural principles and engineering best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex backend issues using monitoring, telemetry, and logging tools to ensure system reliability.
• Manage Dockerized backend services and actively participate in CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions to help shape the future of the platform.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Python development.
• Strong proficiency in designing and maintaining backend services using FastAPI.
• Solid experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Proven ability to implement background processing and task queues using Celery.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, including Azure, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
• Proficiency in English at a B1+ level or higher.
