Senior Project Manager

PawaPay is a pan-African fintech enabling local payment channels for mass-market merchants. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to own our delivery system, ensuring cross-functional projects are coordinated with clarity, reliability, and visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the integrity of the intake process, ensuring every project has a clear brief and owner.
• Maintain a single source of truth in ClickUp to eliminate shadow trackers and ad hoc status requests.
• Support leadership in prioritisation and bottleneck management to ensure clear, force-ranked project lists.
• Identify and escalate blockers early to ensure leadership is never blindsided by project risks.
• Refine the delivery framework and ClickUp workspace through continuous, pragmatic improvement.

Requirements

• Significant experience delivering complex, cross-functional projects, ideally within fintech or payments.
• Proven ability to bring order to ambiguity and drive discipline without formal authority.
• Fluency in ClickUp, Slack, and Google Workspace, with an AI-native approach to work.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across departments.
• Comfort operating with high autonomy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
