Outright International is a global organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTIQ people worldwide by documenting human rights violations and advocating for equality. We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee the implementation of our multi-country grant portfolio, ensuring that our programs remain locally owned, demand-driven, and fully compliant with donor requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of a large, multi-country grant portfolio while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
- Manage relationships with diverse in-country partner organizations, including risk assessment and the rollout of capacity strengthening plans.
- Coordinate participatory monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes to track programmatic outcomes and contextual risks.
- Ensure adherence to donor financial and narrative reporting requirements across all partner activities.
- Support partner engagement with regional and multilateral human rights mechanisms to amplify advocacy efforts.
Requirements
- Significant experience managing complex, multi-country grants within the human rights or international development sector.
- Demonstrated success working with civil society partners in restrictive, high-risk, or conflict-affected environments.
- Strong understanding of localization principles, partner-led program design, and grantmaking frameworks.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory, with cultural competency regarding SOGIESC dynamics.
