Senior / Principal / Sr. Principal Software Engineer (Cloud Platform)

ITDS is looking for experienced Senior, Principal, and Sr. Principal Software Engineers to join their team and lead the development of AI-native cloud platforms for the financial services sector. This role offers the opportunity to design scalable, high-performance distributed systems while working on cutting-edge cloud technologies in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable, cloud-native platforms on AWS.
• Create distributed systems, APIs, event-driven services, and core platform components.
• Drive engineering excellence through clean architecture, rigorous testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own systems end-to-end, from initial design to production deployment and ongoing operations.
• Mentor fellow engineers and collaborate with product teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience ranging from 8 to 15+ years depending on the seniority level.
• Hands-on coding expertise with Python.
• Deep experience in designing, building, and operating cloud-native applications on major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resilience, and performance optimization.
• Proven track record of delivering high-reliability production systems using modern engineering practices.
• Excellent system design skills and effective technical communication abilities.
