Senior / Principal Go Developer (Cybersecurity Platform)

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior or Principal Go Developer to join a high-impact cybersecurity project. You will work within an autonomous team to maintain and evolve a complex ecosystem of backend services, ensuring the reliability and performance of high-load systems that protect global users from automated threats.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust backend services using Golang.
• Analyze legacy codebases to identify technical debt, systemic issues, and architectural risks.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical objectives and execute roadmap initiatives.
• Advocate for architectural improvements and negotiate technical decisions with peer teams.
• Ensure the reliability and performance of high-load production systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience with strong proficiency in Golang.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Proven experience working with high-load, high-traffic production systems.
• Ability to independently navigate and work with large, unfamiliar codebases.
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive mindset toward identifying and solving complex technical challenges.
