Senior PostgreSQL Data Engineer – Financial Sector

ITDS is seeking a Senior PostgreSQL Data Engineer to join a project for a leading client in the financial sector. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a cutting-edge enterprise data platform, focusing on high-performance data processing and real-time analytics within a high-availability environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance PostgreSQL database solutions tailored to large-scale financial data processing.
• Optimize database performance through advanced tuning, indexing, and efficient data modeling practices.
• Build and implement data models, including normalization and denormalization, to support near real-time analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration using technologies like RabbitMQ and ETL processes.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to guarantee high availability and scalability.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with PostgreSQL, including advanced SQL and data modeling skills.
• Proven expertise in PostgreSQL architecture, table partitioning, indexing, and performance monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of PL/pgSQL, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Practical experience with large data volumes, performance tuning, and Big Data environments.
• Hands-on experience with Linux environment setup and maintenance.
